Varenna
A small fisherman village with more than 1200 years of history has retaine its charm through the centuries, it is considered the gem of lake Como and it is visited by people from all over the world.
Local attractions include Villa Monastero, the Castle of Vezio, the romantic lake shore and the pictoresque village. It is conveniently link to Milan by train (90 minutes) and from it harbour it is possibly to visit nearby Bellagio just by crossing the lake ( a 5 minutes ferry trip).
Villa Monti
A liberty villa commissioned by Francesco Monti to the architect Bestetti of Milan and completed in 1913: it is located in front of the world famous Villa Monastero, vith a stunning 360° view of lake Como from his wide windows and large balconies. It is just 200 meters from the central square of Varenna. Villa Monti is owned by the Ratti family who has restored the old building and completely reniewed its interior in 20114 dividing it into seven brand new luxury apartments which are now the most iconic and choice for those wishing to visit Varenna and fully enjoy its beauty and charme .
