About Villa Monti
Villa Monti is a historic Liberty-style (Art Nouveau) villa in the heart of Varenna, overlooking Lake Como. Today, the villa is home to six independent apartments, surrounded by terraced gardens and a swimming pool with beautiful views across the lake.
Our aim is to preserve the character and atmosphere of a traditional Italian villa while offering the comfort, privacy and independence of a contemporary home. Whether you come to Varenna as a couple, with family or with friends, Villa Monti is a place from which to experience the village and Lake Como at your own pace.

Villa Monti is just above the historic centre of Varenna, approximately 200 metres from the main square (Piazza San Giorgio) and beside Villa Monastero, close enough to enjoy the village on foot while overlooking Lake Como from above.
The villa is home to six independent apartments, each with its own character, layout and views. From an intimate studios for two to spacious two-bedroom apartments, guests can choose the space that best suits their stay.

Villa Monti’s terraced gardens offer quiet outdoor spaces overlooking the lake, with sun loungers, shaded tables and a swimming pool, a peaceful place to relax throughout the day.
Art is part of the character of Villa Monti. Paintings and individual decorative details throughout the apartments give each space its own personality while preserving the atmosphere of the historic villa.
Our Story
Villa Monti is a family-owned property with a long connection to Italian hospitality. The historic villa was carefully renovated in 2015 to create six independent apartments while preserving the character of the original building.
Since then, our family and team have welcomed guests from around the world, sharing not only Villa Monti but also our knowledge of Varenna and Lake Como. We continue to care for the villa, its gardens and apartments with the same idea in mind: to offer a personal, comfortable and authentic place to stay in Varenna.
